This Book Promises To Get Your Kid To Sleep

A new phenomenon is helping parents get their kids to sleep and topping the Amazon charts

It almost seems too good to be true. A book that will help get your kids to sleep quickly with no muss no fuss.

Let me be clear, this isn’t a book that you read to learn how to get your kids to fall asleep. Oh no, this is so much better.

The Rabbit Who Wants To Fall Asleep is a 26 page paperback that parents read to their kids to help them fall asleep. It is currently topping the Amazon best seller charts and is even out selling Harper Lee’s Go Set A Watchman and Paula Hawkins’ The Girl On The Train—two books that have some serious literary cred and buzz surrounding them. (It is also the first self-published book to ever climb the charts like this.)

The Rabbit Who Wants To Fall Asleep was written by Swedish behavioural psychologist and linguist Carl-Johan Forssen Ehrlin. It uses psychological and positive reinforcement to help kids relax and eventually drift off.

The book comes with instructions for parents on how to read: yawn frequently, emphasise certain words, speak clam and slowly. Forssen Ehrlin explains it as “the verbal equivalent of rocking a baby to sleep”.

And if the reviews are to be believed, it really, truly works!

“This book is very hypnotic and meant to be. My son was almost asleep after listening to me read it to him the first time. He hates to go to sleep and is usually wide awake after a story is read to him....not so after this book! Will read again and again,” wrote user B. Tylke.

“Helped my almost 5 year old have an afternoon nap when she hasn't napped since she was 2.5 years old!!” said Amazon reviewer Elizabeth.

“This book is pure magic,” said Rebecca. “I'm one happy momma. I recommend this book to all my friends.”

“I am amazed how successful it has been,” said Forssen Ehrlin. “My inbox is full of parents who say it has really helped their children to relax and fall asleep.”

The book has now been translated into seven languages.

Would you try out this book as a way to get your little one to sleep?
