Hamilton Beach Recalls 5-Cup Baby Food Maker

Baby food processor’s loose pins pose safety issue, Health Canada issues a recall

Hamilton Beach, along with Health Canada and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC), issued a recall on all Baby Food Makers sold between September 2013 and February 2014.

The Baby Food Maker has removable attachments including the slicing/shredding disc and motor shaft adaptor. When these attachments are used, it causes the processor’s food lid to loosen and its stainless steel pin could fall into the processed food.

This processor has a white and grey base, a clear plastic food bowl, a grey lid, an orange control knob and a build in food chute. It can also be identified by the model number 36531C and the UPC 040094365319.

1,803 models were sold in Canada, but no injuries have been reported. If you own this product stop using it and immediately contact Hamilton Beach for a free repair kit including: free food bowl lid, removable motor shaft adaptor and slicing/shredding disc.
