Beyonce Posts First Picture Of Twins On Instagram On One-Month Birthday
We've been patient. Lord, have we been patient.
After Beyonce gave birth to twins weeks ago the superstar has finally posted a picture of Sir Carter and Rumi (yup, those names have now been confirmed via her caption) on Instagram.
Feast your eyes on the cuteness.
True to form, as per her pregnancy pictures, Beyonce unveiled the twins in front of a flowery background, wearing a flowing purple dress with a blue veil.
After initial rumours that the babies were named Bea and ShawnJr, the press leaked that Jay Z and Beyonce filed a trademark application for the names Rumi and Sir Carter, and the cat seemed to have been let out of the bag. But Beyonce's Instagram post is the first concrete evidence we've had that those are officially the Carter twins monikers.
The twins turned one on Thursday when the picture was uploaded to Instagram.
As yet, we can only speculate as to the meaning behind those names. Rumi has an established history of being either a boy or a girl’s name, and although Sir certainly sounds masculine, we can only guess as to its meaning. It might be a spin off the feminine Suri, which means “the sun” in Sanskrit or “Rose” in Persian.
Of course, we have questions. Which one is which? Is one of the twins really going to be called Sir Carter Carter? Does Blue Ivy love her new brother and sister? WILL THERE BE A UNISEX DESTINYS CHILD 2.0??But for now, let us bask in the beauty of the photo (which has already been liked over 6 million times). Hi, Sir Carter! Hi, Rumi.
We've been so looking forward to meeting you.
