Jessica Alba Talks Honest Beauty And Motherhood

Jessica Alba honestly talks about Honest Company future and being a mom

It's a busy time for Jessica Alba whose all-natural baby product line, Honest Company, is facing a lawsuit after its sunscreen allegedly burned kids. But on top of that, she's also launching a beauty line, Honest Beauty, which she describes as a "labour of love."

"As a woman of colour I just feel like we need to be represented in all the different shades that we are, and need to be celebrated and so we have a beautiful range of products that look great on everybody's skin tone," she explained.

Alba, mother to 7-year-old Honor and 4-year-old Haven (with husband Cash Warren), went on to elaborate on the lawsuit and what it means for Honest.

"I created the Honest Company to give people access to safe and effective products and we are committed at the Honest Company to make sure that we use the safest and most effective ingredients," she explained. "We're also committed to continue to educate our customers on how best to use our products."

Which is why:

"Next year, [Honest is] going to launch a safe education platform around sunscreen and the difference between chemical and mineral sunscreens—the importance of reapplication, how to apply, and all of that," she added.

Cool!
