Ryan Reynolds Just Dedicated His Critics Choice Award To Toronto's SickKids

The Canadian actor thanked SickKids and the Make-a-Wish Foundation in his acceptance speech

Ryan Reynolds.

Deadpool actor, husband to Blake Lively, father to two daughters—and now arguably holder of the title of "Nicest Celebrity on the Planet"

Why? The 40-year-old Canadian actor dedicated his award for the Marvel Comics movie not to his family, his agent, or the WHOLE of Hollywood (although he did mention the Deadpool team).

Instead, he dedicated the award at the 22nd annual Critic's Choice Awards to the Toronto SickKids Foundation and Make-a-Wish foundation.

Swoon.

“Deadpool was an 11-year-odyssey for me to get up here and it resonated with a lot of people. The character had cancer and some of the people that this character resonated with were sick kids. So I would like to dedicate this honour to the Make-a-Wish foundation and the SickKids Foundation of Toronto, two incredible organizations that do so much for so many kids in need,” said Vancouver-born Reynolds.

He also dedicated the award to the memory of children Connor McGrath and Grace Bowen.

“They didn’t lose the battle, but they started a fight, and it’s up to us to finish it.”
