Five Tips To Keep You Fit & Healthy This Summer

These five tips will help you put your health first during the busy summer months

We are just days away from the official start of summer break: kids will be home from school, vacations are just around the corner and it’s time to relax and enjoy the sunshine every chance we get!

With all the hectic summer changes, it can be hard to remember to take care of yourself. As moms, we already get caught up in taking care of everyone else and we tend to place ourselves pretty low on our own priority lists.

This summer, stay healthy and remember to treat yourself every now and then with these five helpful tips.

Stay hydrated

Depending where you are in this lovely country, you may have already experienced a few +30 degree days. So remember to drink lots of water—it will keep you cool, boost your energy and it is great to help keep your skin glowing.

Enjoy the sun, in moderation

After a Canadian winter, it is no wonder we are all flocking outside in our shorts and t-shirts, trying to soak up as much sun as we possibly can. But remember, too much of a good thing can be bad. So grab yourself a good SPF, a nice floppy beach hat and some cool shades and remember to keep yourself (and the rest of the family) sun safe this summer.

Don’t forget your vitamins

In the winter, we always make sure to take our daily vitamins to keep ourselves as healthy as possible during those cold months, but it’s just as important to maintain this routine in the summer. Spend those glorious days of freedom feeling your best. Vitafusion™Women’s Complete Multivitamin are a quick and delicious way to ensure you get your daily dose of vitamins all year round!

Expand your diet

Sure, summer brings all kinds of treats you might be missing during the winter months—ice cream, popsicles and all things cool and delicious. But summer is also a great time to try out some new fresh fruit and veggies that you can only get in the summer.

Stay active

Winter’s hibernation is 100% and that means it’s time to get out and be active! Skip the gym for the next few months and head outside for your workout plans. Go for a hike, garden in your yard, take a bike ride with the family or head to your local outdoor pool—there are so many options!

This summer remember to stay healthy and have fun!
