How Music Festival Fashion Can Inspire Your Maternity Style

We take a look at the biggest festival trends and show you how to incorporate them into your maternity style

Spring is musical festival season and a great source of fashion inspiration for fashionistas everywhere. For maternity fashion, bohemian looks are breezy and comfortable and can be dressed up or down with your favourite accessories. So why not grab a bit of that festival style inspiration for yourself?

Here are some of our favourite pieces and inspiration, straight from the lawns of Coachella.

White swing dress

For summer, a flowy swing dress is a great maternity piece. This swing dress can be dressed up with pretty sandals or worn casually with flip-flops and a floppy hat.

Overalls

This summer is all about denim overalls. Pregnant women shouldn’t shy away from the trend, because they’re a great casual option that can be worn while painting a nursery or when you’re out to grab brunch.

Flower crown

The flower crown is the quintessential festival style item. While it works for Coachella, it can also be the perfect whimsical accessory for your baby shower. Fresh or dried flowers are a more elegant option than artificial, and look great paired with a lace dress or floral maxi.

Boho caftan

Probably the coziest item you can wear, a caftan dress, is a great summer piece inspired by bohemian festival style. With lots of room to grow, this is a great piece to take your from first to third trimester without compromising on style. Pair it with a floppy hat, sunglasses and cool jewelry for a versatile look. We love Rachel Zoe in her tribal pattern caftan.

Floral maxi dress

Maxi dresses are a feminine festival season staple, and a great option for maternity wear. A floral printed dress can be worn with wedge sandals for a formal occasion or gladiator flats for a casual daytime option. Layer on dainty jewelry and a crossbody bag to complete the look.

Printed pants

Paisley print pants are a cozy option for summer. When it’s cooler, a white sweater looks modern and fresh, and when it gets hot, a silk or chiffon tank is a great option as well. Grab a pair with flare to emulate the trendiest festival style, or pick up a pair from a market with a boho paisley or elephant print.
