The Seven Best Pregnancy Announcements Of 2015

We look back on the best pregnancy reveals of the last year and share our favourites

Finding out that you’re pregnant is super exciting. The only thing more exciting now-a-days is deciding how you are going to announce that news to the rest of the world. Maybe you decide to go with an adorable photoshoot or a more conceptual photo. Maybe you’re old school and just decide to post your sonogram to Facebook.

But we go gaga over the amazing YouTube videos that some parents-to-be make. Whether they are surprising their family or announcing the news with something with a bit of a higher production value, we love sharing in the couples exciting news.

Check out our seven favourite YouTube pregnancy announcements from 2015, and be sure to let us know if we missed your favourite!

It’s all in the spoons, well on them

Getting creative to surprise her parents with the news they are going to be grandparents, Cheryl Malik had spoons stamped with “Grandma” and “Grandpa” and served them a bowl of soup. We love her dad’s reaction the most… once he finally gets it!

Crossing the finish line

The Kopps decided to let family and friends know that they were expecting their third with an adorable video they called “Crossing the Finish Line”. Starring their two kids, Owen and Carmendy, the race-themed video shows the score tied—one boy and one girl. Baby number three is set to be the tiebreaker.

A star is born

Beckah Shae and her family took to the now-popular car video to announce their pregnancy. Using Megan Trainor’s “Lips Are Movin’” the family rock out and share their big news at the same time.

Rumour has it

Trying to get ahead of the rumours, singer Macklemore and his wife decided to announce their pregnancy themselves. They shared a beautiful video of the two parents-to-be seeing their ultrasound for the first time.

Twice as nice

In a twist on the normal pregnancy announcement, Korey Rademacher and his wife keep a huge secret for a whole nine months. Sure, their family knew they were expecting but they didn’t know they were expecting twins. And they didn’t find out until the babies arrived.

A hidden camera surprise

This might be our number one favourite for the year—when this dad finds out he is going to be a grandfather he celebrates like no one’s watching. Mostly because he thinks no one is watching. Thanks so much, hidden camera!

Double the babies, double the fun

This Walk the Moon “Shut Up And Dance With Me” parody pregnancy announcement has everything—music, hilarious lyrics, adorable kids, oh yeah, and TWO pregnancy announcements. Yup, when two brothers team up to announce their news together, you’re in for a treat!
