Evenflo Recalls 56,000 3-In-1 Booster Car Seats
Evenflo has recently issued a recall of approximately 56,000 car seats. After identifying a safety issue with the Transitions 3-in-1 Combination Booster Seat, the company has voluntarily recalled all seats manufactured before January 29th, 2016.
Thanks to customer feedback, Evenflo realized that the Transitions car seat gave children access to the Central Front Adjuster (CFA), which allows them to loosen the harness on the car seat.
The effected car seats were firs produced on December 18th, 2014 and can be identified by the following model numbers: 34411686, 34411695 and 34411029.
Evenflo emphasized that the recall has nothing to do with the “structural integrity” of the car seat in a crash and that no injuries have occurred in connection with the CFA issue.
Customers are asked to contact Evenflo and they will receive a remedy kit form Evenflo. Until the kit arrives, parents are urged to only use the seat in the following modes: high-back belt-positioning booster mode and no-back belt-positioning booster mode.
