How To Create The Perfect No-Fuss Thanksgiving Table

Make your Thanksgiving dinner table really pop this year with these simple tips

You’re hosting Thanksgiving this year. As a new mom, an expecting mom or a mom of any kind, it’s a big ask, but you are ready for it. You’ve already picked out the perfect turkey, you’ve got fresh cranberries to make Grandma’s sauce from scratch and you’ve got a meticulously planned out itinerary for the whole family to make sure the whole thing goes off without a hitch.

But then you realize, you’re Christmas napkin rings won’t work and the Easter table cloth really doesn’t set the scene. What are you going to do with your Thanksgiving table? How are you going to make it pop?

The table is the hub of the evening—it’s where you will seat, eat and talk for a good part of the night. Though the star of the show is undoubtedly dinner with family and friends, the table setting is what sets the festive mood for the holiday. Long before the first appetizer hits the table, you want your guests to be impressed by the stunning table setting you’ve put together.

But how can you manage that, the kids and getting dinner on the table?

With these easy table setting hacks, it’ll be a breeze.

First things first, your centrepiece

The centrepiece is literally just that—the piece of décor that is going to be the centre of attention. So why not make it amazing (and easy)? Grab a few different coloured gourds and mini pumpkins from the store when you pick up your groceries and artfully arrange the on the table. This is super quick, easy and cheap. Add in a few dried leaves (real or fake) and boom, you’ve got the perfect autumn centrepiece.

Table covering

You can never go wrong with a traditional crisp, white tablecloth, but if you want to do something a little more fun and a bit outside the box, why not try brown craft paper? Cover the entire table and set out mason jars full of crayons. The kids will be entertained and I bet a few adults won’t mind doodling, either.

Sparkling dishes and linens

With so much thought devoted to planning the perfect holiday table, the last thing you want is for guests to be distracted by spotty dishware or dull, stained table linens. To keep your festive linens from fading, use OxiClean™ Versatile Stain Remover. This oxygen-based stain fighter is chlorine free and colour safe. It can also tackle stains that detergent alone can leave behind. To keep your dishware spotless and sparkling use OxiClean™ Auto Dish Detergent Lemon Clean–this way you can be sure the first toast is as beautiful as the occasion.
